The Apple Watch Pro leaks continue Sonny Dixon Back with the size comparison, this time we’re sharing images of cases meant for the 49mm Apple Watch Pro alongside cases for the smaller Series 7 and upcoming Series 8 watches. The Apple Watch Pro looks much larger than the 45mm or 41mm Apple Watch Series 7 devices the company currently sells, as well as the rumored Series 8 expected to be announced on Wednesday.
The size comparison follows leaked cases and CAD drawings from yesterday, which show a new button on the left side of the flat Apple Watch Pro display, along with a mic, button and digital crown now visible to the right housing. Better protected from accidental presses — something that easily happens when this watch is worn by targeted outdoor athletes. The drawings were later verified of Bloomberg Mark Gurman.
As Gurman previously stated The Apple Watch Pro, with its large battery and rugged titanium casing, “probably won’t appeal to all users because it’s bulky on most wrists.” Indeed, 49mm is too big for some, but too small for others.
For example, I’m six feet tall and athletic, and the 47mm Garmin Epics 2 is a bit small — I prefer larger 51mm cases. My colleague Victoria, however, found the 41mm Garmin Fenix 7S Sapphire Solar to fit her small wrist perfectly. Garmin watches are rounded, but we’ll have to see what kind of difference that makes when the Apple Watch Pro becomes a reality.
Apple is likely to announce the new iPhone 14 as well as the Apple Watch Pro and Series 8 devices on Wednesday. to the edge Will be streaming live, so stay tuned.
