Tesla has recalled 1.1 million vehicles to prevent drivers from being pinched by windows.

The problem is that the windows cannot detect certain objects when closing, which can result in “occupant pinch injury”. It’s an enormous recall, covering some 2017-2022 Model 3, 2020-2021 Model Y and 2021-2022 Model S and Model X vehicles.

Tesla said it will issue a fix through an over-the-air software update. Notably, no one was hurt or killed by Tesla’s extreme windows, but I wouldn’t recommend sticking your fingers in there to see what happens.
