iOS 16 lets you view your Wi-Fi passwords, add a fullscreen music player to lock the screen, and more

Apple announced the latest version of its software iOS 16 with many new features and improvements at the Worldwide Developers Conference (WWDC) on Monday. Allows Apple users to view and manage Wi-Fi passwords stored in iOS 16. It added a fullscreen music player to the lock screen by placing album art in the middle with controls. Additionally, with the latest operating system, iPhone users can drag and drop photo subjects into other apps or photos.

The upgraded visual look-up feature allows users to tap and hold an image to isolate the subject by lifting it from the background or placing it in apps such as Messages. This functionality works with screenshots, quick look and safari. Apple phones running the A12 bionic processor and newer ones support this feature.

The new iOS 16 also offers improvements to the lock screen, focus mode, health app and messages that change the way users experience the iPhone. Scheduling for emails is coming to the Mail app in iOS 16 and Apple Maps will support eleven more countries. iOS 16 is currently in beta testing with developers. The public beta is due next month.
