Hurricane season is in full swing in the US from Alaska to Puerto Rico

The US was stuck in the middle of the Atlantic hurricane and Pacific typhoon seasons over the weekend, with the storms taking a heavy toll on communities in both Puerto Rico and Alaska.

More than 1.3 million customers are still without power in Puerto Rico after Hurricane Fiona tore through the island on Sunday. Fiona’s heavy rains are expected to bring more “deadly and catastrophic flooding” to Puerto Rico today before mudslides and landslides hit other parts of the Caribbean.
