Cybersecurity alarm bells are ringing in the healthcare industry this month. The FBI has warned healthcare facilities that medical devices (such as patient monitors or infusion pumps) run on outdated software that is often vulnerable to hacks. A major ransomware attack from a gang stole 1 million patient records at Oakbend Medical Center in Texas. Patients are more likely to die in hospitals dealing with cyberattacks, a report has shown.
